his sister Devaki and her husband Vasudev, would be his nemesis. Kans had Devaki and Vasudev imprisoned and killed seven of the their children
on their birth. The eighth was Krishna. On the stormy night that He was born, he was miraculously transported to Gokul and grew up there with
Nand and Yashoda as his parents. His winsomeness, his innocence and his pranks endeared him to one and all. With his divine prowess he saved
Gokul from many a catastrophe. When his name and fame spread Kans tricked his into coming to Mathura to wrestle with the mightiest of army.
How could he, a mere stripling of a lad, fight such warriors. But fight he did and routed each and every one of them. Until only Kans was left to
